4. Sleep Solutions

Welcome back to the Pursuit of Health & Wellness Podcast! In this episode, we are chatting about sleep. According to the National Sleep Foundation, over 60% of adults report having some sort of trouble sleeping, more than once a week. It’s also estimated that as many as 70 million people in the United States have a sleep disorder.

Understanding sleep disorders can help us minimize the consequences of poor sleep habits, including diminished quality of life and an increased risk of developing health issues. Today, we’ll discuss the different types of sleep disorders, the ways some are diagnosed and treated, and steps we can take to get a better night’s sleep. Joining us today to shed light on all of this is board-certified physician, certified sleep specialist, and sleep coach, Dr. Angela Holliday-Bell. Dr. Holliday-Bell provides consulting for individuals suffering with sleep issues as well as workshops and seminars for different corporations.

We discuss:

-Signs that we aren’t getting enough sleep

-Sleep disorders and sleep disorder trends

-Ways to fall asleep faster and stay asleep

-Common things that people do that actually disrupts their sleep patterns

-Causes of snoring and solutions to minimize snoring
